Skin Lesion freeze treatments

Cryotherapy - Skin Lesion Removal

Cryotherapy is the controlled destruction of unwanted tissue by the precise application of extreme cold, using liquid nitrogen.

Cryotherapy is a safe, quick and effective way to remove benign skin imperfections such as skin tags, moles, seborrhoeic keratosis, warts, sun damage and cherry angiomas, to name a few. This is performed using a CryoPen©, which emits a pressurised, super fine jet of nitrous oxide from its tip, which means the treatment is incredibly accurate and virtually painless.

Most lesions can be removed in 1 appointment and treatment usually takes 1-2 minutes.  Following freezing, the treated lesion may become darker and begin to crust, eventually lifting and flaking away. The therapy can take between 1 to 6 weeks to take effect, and this will depend on the skin type and what type of lesion has been treated.  Once the lesion comes away, the new skin will likely be pink or lighter than your usual skin tone for several months and it is essential that you apply sunblock of SPF 50+ until the area has repigmented to your normal skin tone.

Price list

1 Small lesion         Starting from £55

A small skin lesion is classified as being under 2mm in depth.  These can include lesions on the face and eyes, as the special applicator tip means the CryoPen© will only treat the lesion and not the surrounding healthy tissue.

3 Small lesions       Starting from £95

If you have up to 3 small lesions of any type, then why not have them treated at the same time.   These can include small skin tags, sun spots and cherry angiomas. It is quick and practically pain free.

1 Large lesion          Starting from £70

A large lesion is over 2mms in depth.  Warts, veruccas, large moles and skin tags may require a longer freeze time depending on its size and this will be discussed prior to treatment along with the cost.

3 Large lesions        Starting from £125

If you have up to 3 large lesions of any type, then why not have them treated at the same time.  Some persistent warts, verrucas and larger moles may require further freezing and this will be discussed at a follow up appointment, along with any additional cost.

A £20 reduction in the above costs will be applied for existing Osteopathic patients, if cryotherapy treatment is performed after an Osteopathic appointment.
